from Evil Sword
The most recent round of Evil Sword shows this spring involved breaking a chair every night. These two pieces that remain (sold together as one lot) came from a chair that was initially smashed in Baltimore at Holy Frijoles, and then reassembled to be broken again at Spazzfest in Greenville, North Carolina. This chair was said to have been very uncomfortable, and I like to imagine that it’s ultimate fate was a kind of chair Hell as punishment, not unlike Prometheus whose perpetually regenerating liver was eaten by a bird every day in perpetuity. It also had its big moment of glory though.
